The use of colorful, bright, Oriental, tribal-inspired and otherwise fabulous rugs to liven up a room is a timeless, evocative look that’s popping up everywhere. I found a few of these beautiful rooms in the work of my favorite local designer here in Portland, Jessica Helgerson. I love the way she uses a lot of eclectic rugs in creative ways in her projects.
I hope you enjoy today’s images, and feel free to share any more you find with me, perhaps on Facebook.
Here’s a bonus post of a loft in Budapest that happens to have quite a few nice little rugs too.
Celeb trivia… this first image, with the huge gorgeous rug, aubergine tufted sofa, and white Barcelona daybed, is the living room of Adam Levine’s Hollywood Hills home.
Furnishing a home is no different than going into the studio and making music. You want to make sure you’ve pared down all the extra details so that in the end, every stitch has a context uniquely yours. -Adam Levine
And a bonus- this gorgeous piece of exterior inspiration. Who wouldn’t want to meditate in this garden?
