I love a good glass of wine every once in a while, and being from California I have fond memories of wine tasting while taking in the gorgeous vineyard views. Joel and I just fell in love with one of the ports we tasted at one of the lovely wineries in Temecula, Leonesse. Drinking wine with friends and family has to be one of the sweetest things in life, and I know wineries are near and dear to many of my friends’ hearts.
So for all you wine lovers out there, I’ve been collecting some great wineries, storage inspiration, and even some unique furniture and home decor made from recycled oak wine barrels from France!
First, let’s start the tour!
From historical to modern, I love the architecture of wine cellars. Now here are some ideas for keeping your collection in style.
Just as I was compiling inspiration for this post, Camilla from Stil Novo serendipitously got in touch with me to familiarize me with the beautiful furniture Stil Novo Design offers. It is a family business located in California where they design & manufacture fine custom furniture, home decor and unique gifts using recycled oak wine barrels. I just had to share these lovely items with you. Handmade items like these would make such an incredible gift for a wine-loving couple’s wedding or anniversary. It looks like there are limited quantities of many of their designs, so check their Etsy shop for changes often, or maybe even commission them to create something amazing for your family!
PS! After I published this article and let Camilla know the post was up, she took a look and told me something amazing! She had no idea I’d also be featuring an image of Merus winery- and I had no idea that her husband had done all the woodwork for their renovation!! We just have one of those crazy never-met-but-on-the-same-wavelength blogosphere connections I guess. So cool. 🙂
