I’ve been doing a lot of cooking lately, and not just for myself & hubby this time! I’m temporarily filling in as cook for a whole hungry crew setting up for the tour season in Alaska. It makes me feel like a mom and I’m not sure how I feel about that yet! I don’t get to cook stuff that’s light, it’s more stick-to-your-ribs kind of meat and potatoes and I’ve even found myself using an old crank hand beater baking cakes… it makes me feel so old-fashioned and domestic. Joel, myself and Ginger are also living in a cute little log cabin in Skagway (pictures soon to follow) and it makes me really want our own place more than ever. It’s fun not living in an apartment, it’s hard to believe we can be as loud and rowdy as we want. One of our neighbors plays his drums for hours, but only once a week or so and luckily he’s pretty good. So our cozy little log cabin kitchen is all ready for me to cook in- now I just need to find more hours in the day! I just can’t wait to have a place to call our own someday. Thus the inspiration for these great kitchens- sleek and clean, but natural and cozy.
